Relax about the New Joint Employer Rule… For Now

I’m getting a lot of questions about the NLRB’s new Joint Employer Rule. Don’t panic. It doesn’t take effect until December 26. And there will likely be a lawsuit by the International Franchise Association before then seeking to stop it. Also, Sens. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) said they’ll introduce a Congressional Review Act resolution to kill the regulation.

Spend time now reviewing your operation to determine where you may be susceptible to the rule. Seek professional help. Determine if you can – or want to – make any changes. Get ready, but no need to execute, yet.
